Lots of Visitors

We've had lots of visitors over the past couple days. Josiah has been quite the social butterfly!

Mimi had to leave Thursday morning to fly back to Richmond. Everyone was very sad...thank you for all of your help, we miss you!

John & Kate Early came to visit Thursday morning and were "naturals" with Josiah. It was so fun to catch up with them.

Thursday night our friend Rosie came over and cooked up a fabulous dinner...we had fajitas, all kinds of side dishes, and warm brownies and ice cream.

We started Friday off with a family walk around the 'hood.

Friday night, the Porters came over for some grillin' and chillin'. Chillin' looks a lot different these days with two kids...we used to eat leisurely dinners and then watch a movie or something. Last night we were juggling dinner plates and crying babies. No time for a movie, there were feedings and bedtimes instead.

Thank you Ben & Anna for your help last night...we really appreciate it!

Sling-Ridin', Tummy Time, and Trains

We've had a busy couple days...Yesterday, Josiah rode in his sling for the first time. We went to Target and the grocery store and thought he'd be safe from germs if he was in this. He did great - slept the whole time and nobody bothered us.

Ever wonder what a baby looks like inside the sling?!? He looks mad, but I promise he liked it.

Today we worked on some "tummy time" to help strengthen neck muscles or something. Anyway, he looked real cute, so here are some pics.

Thank you to the Perzanowskis for the adorable name train...it quickly came out of the package and onto Josiah's window sill.

It's hard to be a parent...

Bella is plum tuckered-out from all the night feedings, the diaper changes, and guarding Josiah from all our visitors! Who knew it would be this tiring to have a baby?!?

Campbell Cummings

Our sweet niece, Campbell Jean Cummings, turned 9 months old on Sunday. We are so excited to be getting back to the East Coast to be closer to Mark, Em, and Campbell. She has a lot to teach little Josiah about the ways of the world- swimming pools, how to ride forwards in a car seat, and all sorts of stuff!

Here are some pictures:

Can you tell she and Josiah are related? They have the same head!!!

So Fresh and So Clean

Josiah had some fun getting clean today...

And thanks to the Tuckers for the cute blanket...he's already showing off his Hokie pride!

It's Friday!

Well, Josiah's first Friday is going well. We've done some sleeping, eating, pooping, and swinging so far...can't wait to see what the afternoon holds :) We're having fun wearing the different outfits we've gotten as gifts...here's Friday's outfit, blue is definitely one of his colors.

Hanging out with Dad and Bella:

Tyler even came by for a visit...here he is, explaining the complicated ins and outs of Jim & Pam's love life to Josiah:

Josiah comes home!

Josiah got home yesterday afternoon and had a pretty good transition to life at home. Bella is curious (and not too jealous yet), and Josiah is still eating, sleeping, and pooping like a true champion.
Mimi and Papa have been here since Monday afternoon (after the marathon drive!). They've been a huge help and it has been great to have them here.
Somehow it didn't take very long for Papa to institute family naps...
So far, Josiah can only do level 1 Sudokus- but give him a week and he'll be doing those balck belt ones!

Thanks so much to Mimi and Papa for all you've done so far. It's a joy to have you guys here.
