It's Friday!

Well, Josiah's first Friday is going well. We've done some sleeping, eating, pooping, and swinging so far...can't wait to see what the afternoon holds :) We're having fun wearing the different outfits we've gotten as gifts...here's Friday's outfit, blue is definitely one of his colors.

Hanging out with Dad and Bella:

Tyler even came by for a visit...here he is, explaining the complicated ins and outs of Jim & Pam's love life to Josiah:

Josiah comes home!

Josiah got home yesterday afternoon and had a pretty good transition to life at home. Bella is curious (and not too jealous yet), and Josiah is still eating, sleeping, and pooping like a true champion.
Mimi and Papa have been here since Monday afternoon (after the marathon drive!). They've been a huge help and it has been great to have them here.
Somehow it didn't take very long for Papa to institute family naps...
So far, Josiah can only do level 1 Sudokus- but give him a week and he'll be doing those balck belt ones!

Thanks so much to Mimi and Papa for all you've done so far. It's a joy to have you guys here.

Happy Father's Day to me!

Well, I got about all I could ask for this Father's Day. A really cool tie... and my boy! Josiah Archer Wood was born on 6/17/07 at 7:56 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs, 7 ozs, and measured in at 21 inches. Both he and Mom are doing great!

Here he is:And his closeup:
Here's Mom and baby Josiah:And I guess I really don't need a caption for these...
We'll add a million more pictures by tomorrow, but this will do for now. Thanks for looking and we can't wait for him to meet all you guys! Ok, one last one- since you begged for it- here's a shout out from baby Siah to the Wood-Tang Clan:

The Long Awaited...Pictures of AK & Scott's Wedding!

So my little sister, AK, got married on May 26th...We were able to be home for the week before to help prepare and of course celebrate. It was so fun! It's hard to believe she has a husband now, but we couldn't have asked for a better one than Scott. I think most big sisters are hesitant or sad when their little sisters get married, but this just seems right. I never thought twice about it! Of course, they have been dating longer than Andy and I have known each other :) Here is a smattering of pictures from the event...if you want to see more (and I mean a bazillion more) go to her blog via the link on the right.
Getting Dressed

Everyone kept telling us to "get off our feet" and "relax", so we finally did!
The Bride and the Matron of Honor

Dance Party!!!

The Groom

The Wedding Party got a trolley ride from the church to the reception

First Dance

The Wood Family in full force - a good looking group, don't you think?

At the end of the night, they rode off on Scott's Harley, through a cloud of bubbles.

Brooks and Anna were there for all of the festivities - thanks for the moral and dancing support, kids! They, of course, were enthralled with Junior. If he turns out to be a girl, his name will be "Brooksanna".

Apparently Andy and I didn't take any pictures together during the wedding or reception. Oops! We were having too much fun dancing and running around catching up with people! Oh well, you'll see plenty of us in the future :)

Covenant Seminary Graduation

Covenant Seminary's Graduation was May 18th. It's hard to believe so many of our close friends are now spread out around the country doing ministry! Here are a few pics of the event...

Danny, Andy, & John

The Trifecta will now be living in different cities for the first time in about 7 years! Danny, Aspa, & Coleman are in Charleston, SC doing RUF. John & Kate are sticking around St. Louis for a while - YAY!

Part of the Crew - the Porters, the Clarks, the Woods, & the Earlys

Couldn't resist posting these...Uncle Andy with his favorite Porter. Look at those big blue eyes!

Eric Ashley's Graduation Party

Eric and Annette threw a graduation party/concert so that Eric could play one more time with people that he's played with throughout his time at Covenant.

The Band

Andy has truly enjoyed playing with Eric over the past 3 years...they make a great guitar & mandolin combo!

Andy, Amy, Annette, & Eric

We met Eric & Annette at orientation during our first couple days in St. Louis. They're off to a church in Macon, GA. We will really miss them!

Measuring Small...Growing Big

We had the privilege last week of having another ultrasound and getting to see our son! According to the measurements of my belly, the doctor says I am "measuring small" - about 3 weeks behind where I should be. So, he wanted to do another ultrasound to make sure the boy was growing okay. Well, Junior weighed in at a healthy estimated 5 lbs. 4 oz. - which I think is PLENTY big enough! Especially since we still have about 6 weeks to go! He's just all crammed in there. Since it was more of a quick ultrasound just to check on the weight, we didn't really get any good pictures. But, he has a precious profile, a strong heartbeat, and we cannot wait to meet him! Thanks for your prayers for this visit...now you can pray that he doesn't grow too much between now and the end of June :)

Baby Wood Surf Shower

Some fabulous friends in St. Louis threw Baby Wood a shower - with a Surfer Boy theme, of course! We had a great time. It is truly wonderful to be in such a supportive community, surrounded by so many women in the same stage of life.

The decorations...

Opening presents...

Georgia (she's 4) helped me open everything. She has a little brother, so had great advice for me on how to take care of baby boys.

A Cardinals onesie made by Ami Anderson. I think he'll be wearing this home from the hospital!

Andy's mom brought some of Andy's baby clothes to pass down, complete with pictures of Andy in them! They were obviously a big hit.

On our way to the shower (me & Andy's mom)

We are so tired of smiling...

How many pregos can you fit in a room? There were actually 7 at the shower, but 2 left before we could get the picture. We're all due between now and September! Now you can see what I mean about having so many people in the same stage of life...
